It's Christmas Time in the City
It is officially Christmas. Yesterday we got into the spirit with all the decorations on Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Marlyebone... (to be fair, Tooting has actually had its lights up since early November, even if it was meant for Diwali). The streets were all closed off to cars- it would have been impossible to try and walk down the sidewalk, it was crammed enough on the streets. We definitely got the full experience: wandering through a packed Selfridges, humming carols on the way to the tube, marveling at giant £1,500 stuffed animals in Hamleys, and dodging the hundreds of drunk Santas who were out on a massive pub crawl. "Ring-a-ling, hear them sing, soon it will be Christmas day."
