Joyeaux Anniversaire a Paris

There is no city quite like Paris. We have been a few times now, and each trip I love the city even more. Last weekend we took the Eurostar train from London to Paris, and arrived before lunch, it was so quick. The train ride was smooth, passing purple fields of lavender and zooming through the Chunnel. This was Greta's 15th Birthday gift, and we are all so glad that this was what she requested; she said that she felt like the luckiest girl in the world, so there is no doubt that she appreciated her magical birthday weekend.

My girls are in the swing just to the left of the pole.

We stayed at a very nice hotel right around the corner from L'Arc de Triomphe, which meant walking along the Champs Elysees each day to get back (surreal). Some of the highlights included walking along the Seine at night, seeing the sun set behind the Arch, having dinner at Le Chalet, enjoying gelato in the Jardin de Tuillieries, touring the Petit Palais, sitting in the courtyard of the Louvre, scarfing falafels in the Marais, visiting the Pompidou Center, watching the girls ride the "Air Swing," exploring Victor Hugo's house, resting in the sun at Les Places de Vosges, climbing up the steps of Montmartre (not the climb so much, but definitely the view), taking a moment of silence in the Sacre Coeur, shopping the summer sales, the fresh bread, the chocolate, the cheese, the wine, the crepes, the buildings, the streets- I do love Paris.
